Week two marked the beginning of my work on my projects with Heat2Power. I got to go into the office for the first time and meet everyone on the Heat2Power team. Everyone was very welcoming and kind. I got to see some of the facilities where they manufacture their technology, and it helped me to better understand the scope of how this technology could be used.
While in office, I met with two graduate students, Sritoma Paul and Seungwon Rha, who both work to produce the same technology produced by Heat2Power. Their insights into the process of creating TPVs and passion about the technology were incredibly helpful in producing an initial schedule of questions for the video interviews I will be conducting later in this process.
I developed an interview outline to highlight Heat2Power’s efficiency and innovative technology from various perspectives, both business and technical. I then collaborated with my supervisor, Sean McSherry, to refine the outline. This interview outline was sent to interviewees so that they can begin to brainstorm answers and show up prepared for filming.
I also took time this week to develop a plan for the summer. I created a scheduling spreadsheet to organize my various tasks and assign myself dates to stay organized. When I have large projects to work on, I find it incredibly helpful to break large projects into chunks.
We are currently in the process of finalizing a filming date that works with everyone’s schedules. I’m very excited to begin this process and grow along the way!
