This week was a busy one! I spent Tuesday meeting and filming interviews with Heat2Power co-founders and University of Michigan professors Stephen Forrest and Andrej Lenert. The interviews turned out well, and everyone had insightful things to say. I will be starting the post-production process in the following weeks.

On Thursday, my intern partner, Kalan, and I had the opportunity to tour the clean room. The clean room is the laboratory where Heat2Power manufactures their technology. It was incredibly interesting to see all of the machinery and the process of making these small panels of TPVs.

After our tour, I started to draft a press release and did some research into journalists that Heat2Power can reach out to in order to increase visibility. I found a number of excellent clean energy and environmental reporters throughout the state.

I also used Canva to create a short introductory video for LinkedIn. I’m mostly done with social media work for the internship, and now I have to schedule it into LinkedIn for the company’s future use. I’m hoping to utilize Google Analytics to measure click-through rate from the company’s LinkedIn to their website as a measure of visibility and interest. This will allow me to highlight a measurable impact on the company that I can share on my resume.
